Thy Kingdom Come

Jimmy is back from quarantine, and the guys jump back into The Baptist Catechism on the Lord’s Prayer. why do we pray “thy kingdom come?” How does this help form our prayers and what is the outworking of. this in our lives?

Baptist Catechism Q. 109

Q. What do we pray for in the second petition?
A. In the second petition, which is, Thy kingdom come,⁠ we pray that Satan’s kingdom may be destroyed,⁠⁠ and that the kingdom of grace may be advanced⁠⁠ ourselves and others brought into it and kept in it,⁠⁠ and that the kingdom of glory may be hastened⁠.
