Nick Batzig on the CREC
UPDATE: Pastor Batzig asked if we would be willing to take down this episode of Doctrine and Devotion for a number of reasons. First, he did not believe that he was well prepared for the topic of conversation. This led him to make what he believes to have been several statements that were both underdeveloped and not carefully articulated enough. Second, he requested that the episode be removed on account of the level of vitriolic and acerbic comments online from men in CREC churches or those who are sympathetic to proponents of Federal Vision theology. Pastor Batzig welcomes criticism, however, the un-Christlike nature of so much of what individuals wrote in response to him in private messages and on social media promoted him asking us to remove this episode. He wishes to apologize to our listeners for this inconvenience. Out of deference to Nick, we are honoring his request.
